Rhodes grass is a vigorous, perennial grass, with a strong root system that gives it good drought tolerance. It spreads quickly, forming a good ground cover, and grows to 1.5 m. The leaves are usually 10‐15cm long and 4‐8cm wide. The leaves can either be flat or folded. Seeds germinate easily if grown the right way.
