Responsibilities
•Acquire new clients, and offer excellent service to the existing clients •Assess clients' needs and preferences to deliver tailored safari travel advice •Craft detailed travel plans and itineraries that align with the clients' interests, budget, and schedule. •Organize travels from beginning to end; handle bookings of safaris, accommodations, transportations, and activities. Ensure all services meet quality standards. •Maintain clear and active communication with clients before, during, and after their safari to ensure a seamless experience. •Work with vendors (hotels, lodges, guides, and other service providers) to confirm arrangements and negotiate favorable terms. •Assist clients in understanding and obtaining necessary travel documents such as visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance. •Promptly address any issues or complaints that may arise, offering solutions to maintain client satisfaction. •Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the safari industry, destinations, trends,
Requirements & Skills
•Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for helping clients create memorable experiences. •Clear and persuasive verbal and written communication skills. •Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail. •Comprehensive knowledge of safari destinations, wildlife conservation, and local cultures. •Ability to quickly address and solve problems as they arise. •Proficiency in travel and office software. •A strong grasp of sales techniques and a track record of reaching or exceeding sales targets.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in tourism, or a Diploma from Utalii College in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field is advantageous. •Prior experience in travel consulting or safari planning role preferred/Proven working experience as a Travel Consultant. •Excellent knowledge of traveling software (computer reservations systems, GDS systems and e-travel) •Exemplary sales skills and customer-oriented approach •Well versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc.) •Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively • Demonstrable ability to handle crises •Degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field •Candidates with personal travel experience will be preferred
