Responsibilities
Safely transport passengers to their requested destinations using online ride-hailing platforms. Accept and manage trip requests through the driver application. Maintain excellent customer service and professional communication with passengers. Use GPS and navigation systems to identify efficient routes and avoid delays. Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and safe for passengers. Conduct basic vehicle checks before and during operations. Manage daily fuel consumption and operating expenses efficiently. Handle passenger payments and maintain accurate trip records.
Requirements & Skills
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record. Good knowledge of roads and routes within the operating area. Proficiency in using GPS, Google Maps and ride-hailing applications. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Safe and defensive driving skills. Good time management and punctuality. Ability to work independently and manage flexible schedules. Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance knowledge. Ability to handle cashless and digital payments. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle category. Minimum secondary school education (KCSE or equivalent). Valid National ID or other required identification documents. Basic knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations. Basic smartphone and GPS/navigation skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English and/or Kiswahili. Clean driving record and responsible driving history.
