A carbonizer is a machine designed to convert organic materials into charcoal, biochar, or activated carbon through a process called carbonization (pyrolysis).
Heats organic material (such as wood, bamboo, coconut shells, rice husks, or other biomass) in a low-oxygen environment.
• Because oxygen is limited, the material doesn’t burn fully. Instead, it breaks down into:
• Charcoal/Biochar → solid carbon-rich residue.
• Wood vinegar (pyroligneous acid) and tar → liquid by-products.
• Syngas (carbon monoxide, hydrogen, methane, etc.) → combustible gas, sometimes reused to fuel the machine.
