Crown Universal Undercoat is an alkyd-based undercoat for interior and exterior use. It is best recommended as an intermediate coat to improve inter-coat adhesion between a primer and a topcoat when changing from an existing solvent-based topcoat to a water-based topcoat and vice-versa, as a general-purpose undercoat on previously painted or primed substrates to provide additional film build for extra protection and when changing from very dark shades to light shades. It is best used on primed or previously painted plaster, wood, metal, plastic, fibreglass
