Waitress/Sales Person

• Welcome and serve customers professionally and courteously. • Take orders accurately and serve beverages promptly. • Promote drinks, offers, events and other products. • Upsell products and encourage repeat business. • Build positive relationships with customers and regulars. • Handle payments accurately and issue receipts for all sales. • Record sales correctly and maintain accurate cash and stock records. • Assist with stock counts and immediately report shortages, breakages or discrepancies. • Keep the bar, tables and customer areas clean, organised and presentable. • Assist with opening and closing procedures. • Follow company policies, operating hours and management instructions. • Support social media promotion and awareness of HQ Lounge offers and events. • Maintain punctuality, honesty, professionalism and reliability. • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

• Previous experience as a waitress, bartender, sales representative, cashier or in a similar customer-facing role. • Strong customer service and communication skills. • Confident and comfortable approaching customers and upselling products. • Good sales ability and a target-oriented mindset. • Honest, trustworthy and responsible, especially when handling cash and stock. • Good numeracy skills and attention to detail. • Able to accurately take orders, process payments and issue receipts. • Good personal grooming and a professional, friendly attitude. • Punctual, reliable and committed to work. • Able to work independently and as part of a small team. • Able to remain calm and professional during busy periods. • Willing to follow company procedures, operating hours and instructions. • Basic knowledge of WhatsApp/social media promotion would be an added advantage. • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays where required.

• KCSE certificate or equivalent. • Certificate in Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Sales, Customer Service or a related field is an added advantage. • At least 1 year of experience in waitressing, hospitality, sales, retail or a similar customer-facing role. • Must be 18 years or older. • Good command of English and Kiswahili. • Basic computer/POS knowledge is an added advantage.
