Economical hat-shaped framing component used to furr out ceilings and masonry walls.
In concrete wall applications, furring channels is installed vertically to the wall surface using concrete nails or power-driven fasteners. Gypsum panels are then screw-attached to the furring channels. And drop ceiling applications firing channels can be attached directly to the boards using screws. The furring channels are heavy gauge which provides a strong durable ceiling suspension giving greater spans and higher loading capacity.
Provides non-combustible furring for interior and exterior walls.
Used to level uneven surfaces.
