A pass-through crimping tool is a special tool used to attach RJ45 connectors to Ethernet cables (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.). It is commonly used when making LAN / network cables.
What “Pass-Through” Means
With pass-through connectors, the 8 small wires go completely through the front of the RJ45 plug so you can check the correct color order before crimping. After crimping, the tool cuts the extra wire ends flush.
