Remove the Inner Panel: Open the boot and unscrew the protective plastic or metal inner access panel from the inside of the tailgate.
Disconnect the Rods/Cables: Locate the internal locking mechanisms and gently detach the plastic clips and rods connected to the handle assembly.
Unbolt the Old Handle: Use a 10mm socket to remove the bolts holding the broken garnish handle in place, then slide it out from the exterior.
Install the New Handle: Fit the new handle (ensuring any rubber weather seals are positioned properly), bolt it back down, re-attach the linkage rods, and test the lock before screwing the inner panel back on.
