Characteristic
The Super Napier grass is a highly productive grass with a long leaf length of 6-8 cm, capable of producing up to 20 tons of dry matter per hectare, which can be harvested 7-8 times a year. Once planted, the grass can provide a high yield for 7-8 years continuously with a harvest of 180-200 metric tons of green, succulent grass per acre annually.
Planting:
1. Dig holes with 2 ft by 2 ft spacing.
2. Add manure
3. Plant one cutting in each hole. Ensure the two nodes are covered by soil.
4. The cutting should be planted in a slanting position of about 30 degrees from the soil. Some small space on one end (about 2 inches) should be left uncovered for breathing.
5. 1st harvest after 90 days. Subsequent harvests after 46-60 days
