Engine-powered pump: A small petrol engine drives the pump, producing pressure that forces the spraying liquid through the nozzle.
Tank: It has a plastic or chemical-resistant tank, commonly holding about 15–25 litres.
Pump: The pump creates the pressure required to deliver the liquid as a fine spray.
Spray lance and nozzle: These direct and distribute the spray onto plants. Different nozzles can produce different spray patterns.
Controls: A throttle and pressure/spray control allow the operator to regulate engine speed and spraying.
