Growing these seeds on cool climates also ensures you get uniform plants that mature early with medium sized to large cauliflower heads. The soil on which the cauliflowers are planted needs to be rich in organic matter if you are to achieve great results. To produce large and tender heads, the soil has to be moist and should have a PH between 6.5 and 6.8 at all times. To ensure the cauliflowers do not interfere with each other, it is advisable to space them approximately 18-24 inches apart. Cauliflower heads become white, firm and compact when they are ready to harvest.
