A Lynfield trap is a bucket-shaped trap used to catch fruit flies. It's made of clear plastic and has four entry holes. How it works The trap's holes allow the lure's vapor to escape and flies to enter. Other fruit fly traps: Apple cider vinegar trap: A small amount of apple cider vinegar in a jar with a few drops of liquid soap. Plastic wrap trap: A banana peel or apple cider vinegar and soap wrapped in plastic wrap. Funnel trap: A funnel with apple cider vinegar and a banana peel. Dish soap trap: A trap with apple cider vinegar and dish soap. How effective These traps can monitor and reduce the population of fruit flies, but they won't eliminate the population.
