Step 1: Pull the thread out from the spool or bobbin sitting on the side peg.
Step 2: Pass the thread upward through the first plastic guide hole located right above the spool.
Step 3: Lead the thread over and between the two metal tension discs. Do not wrap it all the way around them.
Step 4: Run the thread down and catch it under the small wire needle guide hook on the moving arm.
Step 5: Use a needle threader to push the thread through the eye of the needle from the back to the front. Pull a tail of about 2 to 3 inches through before starting to sew.
