Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and management reports. Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and revenue forecasting. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including timely VAT filing and payment. Monitor cash flow, manage petty cash, and reconcile bank accounts. Maintain accurate financial records by recording income, expenses, deposits, and other financial transactions. Prepare and submit weekly sales and supplier reports. Issue customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on debt collection. Conduct internal audits and ensure financial controls are maintained. Provide financial analysis and advise Directors on business performance and investment opportunities. Oversee vehicle administration by monitoring vehicle movements, condition, roadworthiness, and licensing compliance. Perform any other finance and administrative duties as assigned by the Directors.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. CPA Part II (minimum) or equivalent professional accounting qualification. (CPA (K) or ACCA is an added advantage.) At least 2–3 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations and statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Housing Levy, etc.).

The position is based at Kipevu Restaurant Ltd, located along Kenyatta Avenue, Nairobi. The Accountant will work primarily in an office environment with occasional visits to the restaurant's branches as required. The role requires regular use of computers, accounting software, and other office equipment. Working hours are in accordance with the Company's operational schedule The position requires strict confidentiality when handling financial and company information. The Accountant may be required to interact with banks, auditors, suppliers, government agencies, and other external stakeholders on behalf of the Company.
