Using a Theodolite :
1. Setup: Place the theodolite on a tripod over a survey point and ensure it’s stable.
2. Leveling: Use the foot screws and the built-in bubble level to center the bubble, making the instrument perfectly horizontal.
3. Focusing: Look through the telescope and focus on the target object using the focusing knob.
4. Measuring Horizontal Angles: Align the telescope with a reference point, set the horizontal circle to zero, then rotate to the second point and read the horizontal angle.
5. Measuring Vertical Angles: Tilt the telescope up or down to sight the target and read the vertical angle from the vertical circle.
6. Fine Adjustments: Use the slow-motion screws for precise alignment on the target.
7. Recording Data: Note all measured angles carefully for calculations.
