The rotary dial allows you to select between several diagnostic functions:
• DC Voltage (DCV): Measures direct current voltage (such as batteries or electronic circuits) with ranges from 200 millivolts (200m) up to 1000 volts.
• AC Voltage (ACV): Measures alternating current voltage (like household wall outlets) with options for 200 volts and 750 volts.
• DC Current (DCA & 10A): Measures direct current flow in amperes, ranging from 200 microamps (μ) up to a dedicated 10-amp setting.
• Resistance (Ω): Measures electrical resistance in ohms, with scales ranging from 200 ohms up to 2000k ohms (2 megohms).
• Diode & Continuity Testing: Used to check if current flows freely through a diode or to test if a wire circuit is continuous (indicated by the diode/sound wave symbol).
