D-Link DGS-1016C is a 16-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Ethernet Switch designed to expand wired network capacity for homes, small offices, and small business (SOHO) environments. It provides 16 RJ-45 ports that support Mbps auto-negotiation for high-speed wired connections with auto MDI/MDIX (so crossover cables aren’t needed). The switch is plug-and-play with no configuration required and features store-and-forward switching and 802.3x flow control for reliable data transmission. It implements Energy Efficient Ethernet (802.3az) to reduce power usage based on link activity and cable length, and supports QoS to help prioritize traffic for smoother streaming and VoIP.
