Anatomy of the Armature
Commutator (Top): The copper-colored cylindrical section at the top. This is where the carbon brushes make contact to conduct electricity to the rotating coils.
Armature Core (Center): The grey, slotted cylinder made of laminated steel plates. This part holds the copper windings and focuses the magnetic field. You can see "NURMA" etched into the side, likely indicating the manufacturer or part series.
Windings: The copper wires visible at the top and bottom of the core. These are wound through the slots to create the electromagnetic field required for rotation.
Cooling Fan (Bottom): The white plastic turbine-like component. As the armature spins, this fan pulls air through the motor housing to prevent the unit from overheating during use
