Assembly & Safety Tips
Before using a saw like this, keep these key points in mind:
1. Chain Tensioning
When you assemble the bar and chain, ensure the chain is seated correctly in the groove. It should be snug against the bottom of the bar but still loose enough that you can pull it up slightly with your fingers. Never adjust the chain while the battery is inserted.
2. Lubrication
Most electric chainsaws require Bar and Chain Oil to keep the metal from overheating and seizing. Check the small reservoir (usually near the base of the bar) and keep it filled during use.
3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Even though it is battery-powered, a chainsaw is a high-torque tool. Always wear:
Safety glasses or a face shield.
Heavy-duty gloves.
Sturdy, closed-toe boots.
Hearing protection
