fall arrestor is a safety device used to protect a person working at height. It stops or reduces the distance of a fall if the worker slips or falls.
Common types
* Self-retracting lifeline (SRL): A cable or webbing line automatically extends and retracts and locks during a sudden fall.
* Lanyard with energy absorber: A shock-absorbing lanyard attached between the worker’s harness and an anchorage point.
* Vertical lifeline fall arrestor: Slides along a fixed lifeline and locks if a fall occurs.
