What is a manual call point?
Manual call points are used to initiate an alarm signal and operate using a simple button press or when glass is broken revealing a button. They can form part of a manual alarm system or an automatic alarm system.
What happens when you activate a manual call point?
When you activate the manual call point, it sends a signal to the fire system's control panel, notifying it that there is a fire in the area closest to the call point. As a minimum, this will sound the fire alarm throughout the building.
