Education: KCSE or equivalent; some employers may prefer a certificate, diploma, or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Communication skills: Good spoken and written English; knowledge of Kiswahili or other local languages can be an advantage.
Computer literacy: Basic knowledge of computers, email, Microsoft Office, and customer management systems.
Customer service skills: Ability to communicate professionally and handle customer questions or complaints.
Sales ability: Confidence in persuading customers, explaining products/services, and closing sales.
Telephone skills: Clear and professional phone etiquette and the ability to make and receive many calls.
Experience: Entry-level positions may accept candidates without experience, while some employers require 1–2 years of sales, telemarketing, or customer-service experience.
Personal qualities: Self-motivated, confident, persistent, target-oriented, patient, and able to work under pressure.
