Responsibilities
The Gardener and Property Caretaker will be responsible for maintaining the home and surrounding compound in a clean, safe, and well-organized condition. Duties will include weeding and caring for the grass, flowers, and garden areas; trimming and maintaining the fence; sweeping and cleaning the compound; and ensuring the property remains neat and presentable. The employee will also monitor the home’s security, control access to the property, and report any suspicious activity. They will perform basic repairs and maintenance around the house, including addressing minor issues involving water, electricity, the fence, garden equipment, and other household facilities. Any major technical problems should be reported and referred to a qualified professional. The employee is expected to ensure that the garden, security, water systems, electricity, fencing, and general property operations run smoothly.
Requirements & Skills
Knowledge of gardening, weeding, lawn care, flower care, and fence trimming
Ability to use and maintain basic gardening and repair tools
Basic knowledge of household maintenance and minor repairs
Strong awareness of safety and property security
Responsible, trustworthy, honest, and dependable
Physically fit and able to work outdoors
Able to identify problems and report them promptly
Good time management and ability to work with minimal supervision
Willingness to perform different duties as needed around the property
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Previous experience in gardening, property maintenance, security, or a similar role is preferred
Basic reading and communication skills
Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned duties properly
Good physical health and ability to lift, bend, stand, and work outdoors for extended periods
A valid identification document
References from previous employers are preferred
Must have a good record of honesty, reliability, and responsible conduct
