Here’s a simple way of installing LVT flooring:
1. Prepare the subfloor: Ensure it’s clean, dry, level, and free of debris. Fix dips or bumps.
2. Acclimate the planks: Leave LVT in the room for 24–48 hours.
3. Plan layout: Measure the room, snap a chalk line, and dry-lay a few planks to check fit.
4. Start laying: Begin in a corner. For click-lock LVT, angle and snap planks together. For glue-down LVT, spread adhesive in small sections and press tiles firmly.
5. Cut pieces: Use a utility knife to score and snap for edges and corners.
6. Finish: Install baseboards or trim, then clean the floor.
7. Wait time: For glue-down, avoid heavy traffic for 24 hours.
