How to Use a Mini Prism
1. Fix the Mini Prism
Attach the mini prism firmly to a prism pole or range pole.
Ensure the prism is clean and undamaged.
2. Set the Prism Height
Adjust the pole to the required height.
Measure and record the prism height (from ground point to prism center).
3. Position the Prism
Place the pole exactly over the point to be measured or set out.
Use the pole bubble to keep it perfectly vertical.
4. Aim with the Instrument
From the total station, sight the mini prism.
Fine-tune using the telescope and crosshairs.
5. Take the Measurement
Measure distance, horizontal angle, and vertical angle.
The instrument computes the coordinates or position of the point.
6. Move and Repeat
Move the prism to the next point and repeat the process.
