Am a highly motivated and skilled Nutritionist with a solid background in public health, clinical nutrition, and project management. Over the years, I have consistently demonstrated a strong ability to design, implement, and manage health and nutrition projects that positively impact communities, particularly vulnerable and underserved populations. My professional journey began with hands-on clinical exposure through volunteer work and hospital attachments, where I supported individualized nutritional assessments, dietary planning, and patient education. These experiences laid the foundation for my deep understanding of nutritional care and community health dynamics. As a Project Manager at Tule Vyema, I led the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) program in Komothai Ward during the COVID-19 pandemic, where I ensured the continuity of essential nutrition services amidst a health crisis. This role allowed me to directly engage with the community, assess real-time challenges, and implement practical interventions to tackle food insecurity and malnutrition. I also championed the "Act4Food, Act4Change" campaign in partnership with the UN, earning recognition for advocacy and awareness-raising efforts. This experience strengthened my capacity to lead high-impact initiatives, even under crisis conditions. My role as a Nutrition Consultant at Hopkins Medical Center further honed my clinical skills, where I developed individualized dietary plans for patients with chronic conditions. I worked closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care approaches that improved patient outcomes and recovery rates. During my time with RODI Kenya, I served as a Project Officer on the Kenya Innovation Challenge TB Project. I managed screenings in sensitive environments such as correctional facilities and police stations, leading a team of volunteers and collaborating with key stakeholders, including the National Police Service and the AIDS Control Unit. This position required precision, confidentiality, and an ability to coordinate complex logistics in dynamic environments. At the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), I served as a Research Assistant conducting field studies focused on nutrition and dairy practices in local markets. My responsibilities included data collection, analysis, and reporting, which contributed to the formulation of targeted interventions. I also applied my skills in storytelling and photography to enhance community engagement and awareness. This unique blend of research, creativity, and communication allowed for deeper community involvement and more authentic data gathering. Across all these roles, I have developed and refined a diverse skill set that includes project management, team leadership, monitoring and evaluation, community mobilization, risk management, and stakeholder coordination. I bring a data-driven, evidence-based approach to every project, ensuring outcomes are measurable and impactful. I am passionate about using nutrition as a tool to address broader public health issues and am committed to creating healthier, empowered communities through education, innovation, and strategic collaboration. With a Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics Management and multiple certifications in public health and GIS-based monitoring, I continuously seek to expand my expertise. I am now looking for a new opportunity where I can bring this rich blend of experience, knowledge, and passion to a forward-thinking organization committed to health equity and sustainable development.
