Finance Accounts Officer

Follow up on client payments and maintain accurate debtor records. Collect cheques and other payments where M-Pesa or electronic payments are not applicable. Reconcile client payments against security assignments, invoices, and services rendered. Work closely with HR and Operations to verify staff deployment, attendance, and payroll accuracy, ensuring there are no ghost workers or unsupported payments. Support payroll preparation by confirming employee work records and approved allowances. Manage company imprest, petty cash, and ensure all expenditures are properly supported with receipts and documentation. Verify supplier payments and ensure proper approval and record keeping. Monitor and ensure timely payment of utilities, licenses, taxes, and other statutory obligations. Maintain accurate financial records and prepare regular financial reports for management. Support internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements.

Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. CPA(K) qualification or progress towards it will be an added advantage. Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a related role. Experience working in a security company, labour-intensive business, or service industry will be an added advantage. Strong skills in bookkeeping, reconciliations, Excel, and financial reporting. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to identify financial irregularities. Good communication and follow-up skills.
