Pineapple guava, also called feijoa, has a sweet, tangy, fragrant taste often described as a blend of pineapple, guava and strawberry, with a hint of mint.
When ripe, the centre is soft, juicy and jelly-like, while the flesh nearer the skin is slightly grainy, like a pear.
