Majukumu
Mobilize ISWAK members and non-members to participate in ISWAK activities, programmes, campaigns and community initiatives. Identify, engage, and organize informal-sector workers and other relevant community groups at the grassro level. Create awareness and disseminate information on ISWAK programmes, projects, opportunities, services, policies and activities. Collect and share relevant information on the needs, challenges, opportunities and priorities of informal sector workers within their areas of operation. Support registration, recruitment and retention of ISWAK members in accordance with the Association's membership procedures. Facilitate community meetings, forums, barazas, sensitization activities and other grassroots engagements. Support ISWAK in identifying potential beneficiaries, partners, community leaders and stakeholders. Promote participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups in ISWAK programmes. Collect basic community-level data

Excellent community mobilization and organizing skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. Ability to conduct community sensitization and public awareness activities. Basic data collection, documentation, and reporting skills. Ability to use smartphones and basic digital communication tools such as WhatsApp, email, and social media. Good networking and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good listening, facilitation and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Commitment to inclusion, equality, integrity, and service to communities.
Mahitaji ya chini ya Kufuzu
A Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Development Studies, Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Project Management, Governance, Cooperative Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Applicants with KCSE or equivalent qualifications combined with strong grassroots/community mobilization experience may also be considered. Additional training in community mobilization, advocacy, leadership, social development, data collection, or membership recruitment will be an added advantage.

Applicants should preferably: Be familiar with the social, economic, and cultural characteristics of the communities where they seek to work. Understand the activities and challenges facing informal sector workers in their locality. Have established relationships with community groups, informal businesses, associations, cooperatives, youth groups, women's groups, community leaders, or other grassroots structures. Understand local languages and communicate effectively with community members. Demonstrate an understanding of local development priorities and community needs.
