This sensor is used to measure concentration of various combustible gases and smoke. It works by changing its conductivity in the presence of target gases, providing an output signal that can be read by microcontrollers like Arduino.
Detected Gases: The sensor is highly sensitive to LPG, propane, and hydrogen, and can also detect methane (natural gas), alcohol, carbon monoxide (CO), i-butane, and smoke.
-Operating Voltage: It operates on a DC 5V power supply.
–Principle: The sensitive material is tin dioxide (SnO2), whose conductivity increases with rising concentration of combustible gases.
–Warm-up Time:20seconds.
–Applications: It is widely used in domestic and industrial gas leakage detection equipment, gas alarms, and various robotics and IoT projects.
