The NF-308S Wire Fault Locator is a handheld cable tester and tracer for network, telephone and coaxial wiring. It detects common cable issues — open circuits, short circuits, crossed or reversed pairs — and displays a wire map on its backlit LCD. It supports tracing and testing of RJ45 (Cat5/6), RJ11, BNC, USB and other metal cables, helping locate breaks and miswires quickly. Built-in length measurement (up to ~1000 m) estimates distance to faults with about ±2 % accuracy, and a port-flash feature aids identifying specific network ports on switches. The unit includes a transmitter, receiver probe and remote identifier, is battery powered and ideal for IT, telecom and electrician use.
