The JBL Bar 800 MK2 is a mid-range 7.1-channel soundbar system from JBL’s refreshed Bar Series, released in June 2025 as an upgrade to the original Bar 800. It delivers immersive home theater audio with detachable wireless surround speakers for easy setup, virtual Dolby Atmos support, and punchy bass from a 10-inch subwoofer—ideal for movies, gaming, and music in medium-sized rooms (up to 300 sq ft). Unlike the original’s 5.1.2 setup with up-firing drivers, the MK2 shifts to a true 7.1 configuration with enhanced MultiBeam 3.0 for wider soundstages, but drops dedicated Atmos height channels for a more surround-focused experience.
