Board: Consists of 24 narrow triangles called points, divided into four quadrants. Movement: Players roll dice and move their checkers accordingly. Winning: The first player to bear off all checkers wins. Gammon: A gammon occurs when one player removes all their checkers before their opponent removes any. Backgammon: A backgammon occurs when one player removes all their checkers while their opponent still has checkers in their home area or on the bar. Origin: Backgammon is considered one of the oldest board games, dating back over 5,000 years.
