Serama chickens: are known as the smallest chicken breed in the world, originating from Malaysia. They are purely ornamental and are recognized for their distinctive V-shaped posture and attractive feather patterns. Seramas are sociable and confident birds, often kept as pets due to their friendly nature and quieter crow compared to larger breeds. Despite their small size, Serama hens can lay up to 4 eggs a week, with a shorter incubation period of around 19 days. While generally hardy, they are not particularly cold-hardy and may require protection in very cold temperatures.
