*Description*:
A slump cone is a metal cone-shaped mold ( 200 high mm base diameter, and 100 mm top diameter) with a handle. It's used to test the *workability* (consistency) of fresh concrete.
*Uses*:
1. *Slump Test*: Fill the cone with concrete in layers, tamp, then lift the cone vertically. Measure the "slump" (vertical settlement) of the concrete to assess its workability.
2. *Quality Control*: Determine if the concrete mix meets specified consistency requirements for construction projects.
3. *Mix Adjustment*: Guide adjustments to water content or admixtures to achieve desired workability.
