How to Install and Use
Mounting: Place the vice on a sturdy workbench. Use heavy-duty bolts through the three holes in the base to secure it firmly to the table.
Tip: Ensure the "fixed" jaw (the one closest to the handle) hangs slightly over the edge of the bench so long pieces of material can be clamped vertically without hitting the table.
Clamping: Turn the handle counter-clockwise to open the jaws. Place your workpiece between them and turn the handle clockwise to tighten.
Protection: If you are working with soft materials like wood or polished metal, use "soft jaws" (rubber or aluminum inserts) to prevent the serrated steel jaws from marring the surface.
