The large, dark panels at the bottom (flat-plate collectors) absorb solar radiation. A dark-coated absorber plate inside converts the sunlight into heat energy efficiently
The heat from the absorber plate transfers directly to the water flowing through the internal riser pipes nestled underneath the panel glass.
As the water inside the panel pipes heats up, its density decreases, making it lighter than the cold water. Because the storage tank is structurally positioned above the collectors, a natural thermodynamic cycle occurs
