Many of the “36 V DeWalt” kits seen locally are not the official DeWalt professional XR FlexVolt line — they appear to be imported tool sets that use the Dewalt name but often include many accessories and are lower power/value than genuine DeWalt power tools.
Genuine 36 V DeWalt tools do exist (e.g., older industrial DeWalt 36 V lines and certain combo kits like the DCX6401), but new genuine DeWalt 36 V cordless drill kits (with batteries) are uncommon/possibly discontinued and may be hard to find new.
