Understanding the Modes
The red dial on the side is the "brain" of the tool. Usually, these models have three or four settings:
Drill Icon: Standard rotation (for wood or metal).
Hammer + Drill Icon: Rotation with a rapid pulsing action (for masonry and concrete).
Hammer/Chisel Icon: Hammering action only, no rotation (used with the chisel bits to chip away tile or concrete).
