Belt sander is a power tool that uses a continuous loop of sandpaper (a “belt”) stretched over two drums, powered by an electric motor. As the motor turns, the belt moves rapidly — allowing the tool to sand, smooth, or remove material from surfaces.
Belt sanders come in different sizes and power levels. The DCA model is among the heavier-duty (corded) belt sanders — meant for relatively serious sanding, shaping or surface-preparation work. For example, one DCA model (AST610) has specs roughly: 1200 W motor input, belt size 100 × 610 mm, and a fairly substantial net weight (≈ 5.8 kg), reflecting its heavier-duty orientation.
