PLA (Polylactic Acid) is a popular, biodegradable 3D printing filament derived from renewable resources like cornstarch. It requires a 190–230°C nozzle temperature, a 40–60°C bed temperature, and high rigidity, but it is brittle, has low heat resistance (~50-60°C), and low UV resistance.
