TPU is a flexible, durable elastomer typically printed at temperatures between 210–250°C and slow speeds of 15–40 mm/s. Key specifications include high elasticity (up to 500% elongation), a shore hardness usually around 95A or 72D, and excellent chemical/abrasion resistance, making it ideal for flexible parts.
Nozzle Temperature: 210°C - 250°C
Bed Temperature: 0°C - 60°C (Not always required, but helps with adhesion)
Print Speed: Slow is key: 15–40 mm/s (usually ~25 mm/s)
Retraction Speed: 30-40 mm/s
Retraction Distance: 1-6 mm (Low for direct drive, higher for Bowden)
Cooling Fan: Yes (often at 50–75%)
Extruder Type: Direct Drive is strongly recommended, though Bowden can work with modifications
Material Properties
Elongation at Break: 320% - 600%
Heat Resistance: High, up to ~138°C
