Palmetto Berries are used to treat Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and its symptoms, such as painful urination and the need to urinate frequently. BENEFITS: For prostate problems, it reduces the amount of dihydrotestosterone in the prostate. For BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia), it has a tonic effect on the neck of the bladder and the prostate. It is useful in treating enlarged prostate and helps tone and strengthen the male reproductive system. It may assist in infections of the genitourinary tract, hesitant urination & the urge to urinate at night. It is valued where a boost to male sex hormones is needed, as it may improve sex drive and libido. It is also used for asthma, throat problems, colds & bronchitis. Usage: Put 2–4 teaspoons of the berries into 1 cup of water. Boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Drink three times daily.
