Hold the Hammer Properly Keep the hammer perpendicular to the anvil surface to ensure an accurate impact. 5. Perform Test Impacts Take at least 10 readings on the anvil. • The rebound values should fall within the manufacturer’s acceptable range (commonly around 80 ± 2, depending on hammer type). 6. Adjust the Hammer (if needed)
