How to Use a Rebound Hammer:
1. Select the Test Spot:
Choose a smooth, clean, and dry concrete surface free from loose material.
2. Position the Hammer:
Hold the hammer firmly against the surface at a right angle.
3. Press to Trigger Impact:
Push the plunger until it releases and strikes the concrete.
4. Take the Reading:
Note the rebound number displayed on the scale.
5. Repeat for Accuracy:
Perform multiple tests (usually 10+) in the same area and average the values.
6. Compare With Chart:
Use the rebound number and the manufacturer’s conversion chart to estimate the concrete’s compressive strength.
