CTO Filter Features Carbon block: Made of compressed activated carbon (often coconut shell). Contaminant removal: Stops chlorine, bad tastes, odors, and particles larger than 5 microns. Lifespan: Needs replacement every 3 to 6 months depending on water use. Placement: Works well inside standard housings either standalone or as a pre/post-filter for RO systems and UV setups.
