The steering angle sensor on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) is integrated directly into the Steering Column Module (SCM) behind the steering wheel [1]. You cannot buy or replace the steering angle sensor as a standalone factory component; you must replace the entire clock spring and module assembly if the internal optical sensor fails.A failing steering angle sensor will immediately trigger ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and ABS warning lights, disable your cruise control, and cause your turn signals to stop auto-canceling [1].
