The accelerator (throttle) on an earth auger machine is used to control the rotation speed of the auger bit, allowing the operator to adjust the digging power based on soil conditions. It is typically located on one of the handlebars and is used to start the drilling process, increase power for deeper or harder soil, and pause or stop the rotation. Starting the Hole: Begin drilling at a low throttle setting to reduce the risk of kickback and to ensure the bit starts straight, especially in rocky or hard soil.
Digging/Increasing Depth: Once the bit has entered the ground (approx. 10cm or a few inches), squeeze the throttle to increase speed for faster, more efficient drilling.
Controlling Speed: The accelerator provides variable speed; you can squeeze harder for tougher soil
