Key Components and Features
1. Steel Mould/Formwork
Forms the shape of the T-beam including the stem (vertical part) and flange (horizontal part). The mould is typically mounted on a long casting bed.
2. Vibrating System
Helps compact the concrete during casting to remove air pockets and ensure a dense, strong product.
3. Concrete Hopper/Dispenser
Feeds fresh concrete into the mould in a controlled manner.
4. Travelling Casting Unit
Moves along the casting bed, depositing and compacting concrete into the mould. This can be motorized and automated.
5. Prestressing System (optional)
For prestressed T-beams, the machine includes a system to tension steel strands before pouring concrete, which are then released after curing to apply compression to the beam.
6. Cutting and Demoulding Equipment:
After curing, the beam is cut to size.
